Vermont Land Trust Fundraiser Weekend

For those of you who may not know, the land that our farm operates on was conserved by the Vermont Land Trust (VLT) in 2017. Land conservation is a proactive, long-term practice that protects open spaces, forests, wetlands, farmlands, and other landscapes from development or degradation. Our grandmother; Polly Bosworth Whitcomb McEwing was the driving force behind getting our family's land conserved. Polly had spent time serving on the Essex Junction Conservation Commission and was also the first Agricultural Director for the Vermont Land Trust. This past spring Polly passed away peacefully with her husband Bob at her side. In Polly's honor, we are announcing that we will be supporting the Vermont Land Trust on the weekend of Oct 24-26.

During the weekend of October 24-26, we will donate 5% of all corn maze and pumpkin proceeds to the Vermont Land Trust (VLT). Every $1 raised helps VLT leverage an additional $9 in conservation investments across the state. VLT unites land and lives by protecting the farms, forests, and natural resources that sustain Vermont’s economy, strengthen our communities, and help preserve the Vermont we all love for future generations.
